Information We Collect
MyWorkRights.ca is designed to be used without creating an account or providing personal information. We do not require registration, login credentials, or payment information to access any content on this Platform. The only information collected is what our analytics tools gather automatically when you visit the site, such as pages viewed, approximate geographic region (country or province level), device type, browser type, and referring website. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it by contacting us.
How We Use Information
The anonymous usage data we collect is used solely to understand how visitors use the Platform, identify which content is most helpful, and improve the user experience. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors, build user profiles, serve targeted advertising, or sell to third parties. If you contact us by email, we use your contact information only to respond to your inquiry.
Analytics and Tracking
We use Vercel Analytics and PostHog for website analytics. These tools collect anonymous, aggregated data about site usage. Vercel Analytics measures page views and performance metrics without using cookies or collecting personal data. PostHog is configured to collect anonymous event data to help us understand how visitors navigate the site. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers. We do not serve ads on this Platform.
AI Chat Feature
Our AI chat assistant helps visitors find relevant legal information on the Platform. When you use the chat feature, your questions are processed by the Anthropic Claude API to generate responses. We do not store your chat conversations after your browser session ends. We do not use your chat inputs to train AI models. The chat feature is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
Cookies
MyWorkRights.ca uses only essential and analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party marketing cookies. Essential cookies are required for basic site functionality. Analytics cookies from PostHog help us understand site usage in aggregate. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not function as expected.
Third-Party Services
This Platform uses the following third-party services: Vercel for hosting and analytics, PostHog for anonymous usage analytics, Supabase for our reviews database, and Anthropic Claude API for the AI chat feature. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We select services that respect user privacy and comply with applicable data protection laws. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any parties not listed here.
Data Storage and Security
Since we collect minimal data, our data storage footprint is small. Anonymous analytics data is stored on servers operated by Vercel and PostHog. Review submissions are stored in Supabase. All data transmission between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We do not store sensitive personal information, financial data, or government identification numbers.
Your Rights Under Canadian Law
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, you have the right to know what personal information an organization holds about you and how it is used. Since MyWorkRights.ca collects minimal anonymous data, there is typically no personal information to access or correct. If you have contacted us by email and wish to request deletion of your correspondence, please email contact@myworkrights.ca and we will process your request within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
MyWorkRights.ca is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@myworkrights.ca and we will take steps to delete such information.
